Requirements for Nigeria Police Recruitment 2018/2019

NPF recruitment general requirements

Some of the requirements for NPF recruitment 2018/2019 is listed below. Carefully read through the requirements and ensure you are eligible before commencing the application process. The requirements are:

  • Every candidate must be a citizen of Nigeria.
  • Every applicant should possess a valid identity card. It can be your driving license, voter’s card, or international passport.
  • A successful candidate must have school certificate.
  • For candidates who apply for police constables. English and Mathematics are compulsory.
  • Advanced Level (A level), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE) or their equivalents (for Cadet Inspectors).
  • University degree or a Higher National Diploma (HND).

2018/2019 Police Service Commission (PSC) Categories

There are three major categories in Nigeria police recruitment 2018/2019. The qualifications for each of this categories is highlighted below.

Police Constable

Academic qualification:

“O” level certificate with at least five credits level passes including English and Mathematics.

  • Cadet Inspector of Police

Academic qualification:

Advanced Level (A level), Ordinary National Diploma (OND), National Certificate in Education (NCE)

“O” level certificate with at least five credits level passes including English and Mathematics.

  • Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police

Academic qualification:

Either Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor Degree

National Youth Service Corps certificate

How To  Successfully Apply Nigeria Police Recruitment Process 2018/2019

  1. Read the instruction carefully before filling the application form.
  2. Make sure you have provided all the necessary documents required for the position you wish to apply.
  3. Ensure you have the necessary qualification for the position you will be applying for.
  4. Submit and print out your acknowledgment slip.
  5. Upon successful submission, you will receive a confirmation message on your email.
  6. The application must be submitted only once.
  7. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted through Email/SMS.
  8. Ensure not to provide any false information as it will lead to automatic disqualified.
